PHILADELPHIA – Another successful Penn Relays 5K presented by Toyota is in the books, as the third-annual event brought in over 300 competitors to University City Saturday morning.

A beautiful morning through Penn Park for 3.1 miles, the course found a new record holder, as Riley Buchholz cruised to a winning time of 14:40.02 on a 4:43-mile pace.

He was followed in by Dan Forry (15:24.34) and 15-year-old Demetrie Meyers (15:37.89) for the top-three finishers.

Hannah Borish won the female category, clocking a time of 18:15.62. She was followed by 15-year-old Zoe Funk (21:21.12) and Elena Brindley (21:29.08) to wrap up the top-three female finishers.

The staff now turns its attention to 2024, as preparations are well underway for the 128th running of the Penn Relays presented by Toyota. The three-day event at historic Franklin Field is set for April 25-27. Check out
