FINAL INSTRUCTIONS:

We are very excited to host the 2025 Penn Relays Summer Showcase presented by Toyota at Franklin Field tomorrow afternoon. To ensure that everyone is on the same page and the event goes smoothly tomorrow, below you will find the final instructions for the event. Please read through the final instructions very carefully.

5:00 PM          Women's 100m Prelim
5:10 PM          Men's 100m Prelim
5:35 PM          Elite Men's 1500m (3:50 or faster)
5:40 PM          Mixed Mile
6:00 PM          Women's 400m
6:15 PM          Men's 400m
6:35 PM          Women's 200m
6:45 PM          Men's 200m
7:10 PM          Women's 800m
7:15 PM          Men's 800m
7:25 PM          Women's 100m Final
7:30 PM          Men's 100m Final
7:35 PM          Elite Women's 800m (2:05 or faster)
7:45 PM          Elite Men's 800m (1:47 or faster)

1. Facility Opening:
   1. The facility will open at 3:30pm tomorrow for warm-ups. 
2. Registration
   1. Limited day of registration will be available for $30. Credit card or cash will be accepted. 
3. Check-in:
   1. There will not be bib distribution this year, instead all that will be required for athletes is to pick up a hip number prior to racing. This will be done 25 minutes prior to your race time at the officials clerking table.

   4. After athletes have picked up their hip number they will head to the starting area of their event for final clerking. Please be to the starting area a minimum of 10 minutes before your scheduled race time. 
   5. Heat and lane assignments will be made onsite to ensure accuracy and avoid empty lanes
4. Warm-up:
   1. Athletes will be able to use the infield for warm-up throughout the duration of the event. Additionally, athletes may elect to leave Franklin Field for warm-up if they prefer. 
5. Starting Blocks:
   1. Penn's Gill Fusion starting blocks will be used for all sprint races. No outside blocks will be allowed. Blocks are not required. 
6. Timing & Results:
   1. Timing will be done by Lexicon Timing. Live results will be posted on the scoreboard in Franklin Field and online here: https://lexicontiming.com/meets/54883
7. World Athletics Calendar:
   1. This event is on the World Athletics Calendar for those seeking qualification marks for national championship meets or qualification purposes for the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo this summer. 
   2. All World Athletics protocols will be strictly enforced including shoe check. 
8. Elite Men's and Women's 800m:
   1. There will be an Elite Women's and Men's sections of the 800m that will go at the end of the meet at 7:35 and 7:45 respectively. 
   2. There will be 1 women's heat that will be for all entrants that have run 2:05 or faster
   3. There will be 2 men's heats that will be for all entrants that have run 1:48 or faster
9. Spectators
   1. This is a non-ticketed event so all spectators are welcome to attend free of charge. 

The Penn Relays is excited to announce the Penn Relays Summer Showcase presented by Toyota is coming to Franklin Field on July 19, 2025. Join us for a chance to race in the Historic Franklin Field!

"We are thrilled to be able to open up the gates of Franklin Field to runners of all ages for the Penn Relays Summer Showcase," said Aaron Robison, Associate Director of the Penn Relays. "This annual event will allow runners of all abilities, ages, and experience levels to race on this historic track! Come see what the magic is all about."

The event is open to all ages and ability levels, athletes will be placed in heats accordingly. The event is on the World Athletics Global Calendar thus allowing athletes to accumulate points towards the 2025 World Championships in Tokyo!

Registration is live on Direct Athletics and may be accessed here. Registration closes online July 17th at 11:59 p.m. EST. The cost is $25 per event and is paid during registration on Direct Athletics. Day of registration will be done onsite for walk-ups as space permits at a rate of $30 per event.
