The Penn Relays is excited to announce the Penn Relays Summer Showcase is returning for the 5th running of this annual event on July 18, 2026. Join us for a chance to race in the Historic Franklin Field!
The event is open to all ages and ability levels, athletes will be placed in heats accordingly. The event is on the World Athletics Global Calendar thus allowing athletes to accumulate points towards their World Athletics ranking and qualifying for World Athletics events.
Registration is live on Athletic.net and may be accessed here. Registration closes online July 16th at 11:59 p.m. ET. The cost is $30 per event and is paid during registration on Athletic.net. Day of registration will be done onsite for walk-ups as space permits at a rate of $35 per event.

OTHER DETAILS AND FAQS:
- Facility Opening:
- The facility will open at 4:30pm for warm-ups.
- Registration
- All registration will be done on Athletic.net until July 16th at 11:59pm ET.
- Limited day of registration will be available for $35. Credit card or cash will be accepted.
- Check-in:
- There will not be any bib distribution, instead all that will be required for athletes is to pick up a hip number prior to racing. This will be done 25 minutes prior to your race time at the officials clerking table.
- The officials clerking table will be located near the 100m start shown here:

- After athletes have picked up their hip number they will head to the starting area of their event for final clerking. Please be to the starting area a minimum of 10 minutes before your scheduled race time.
- Heat and lane assignments will be made onsite to ensure accuracy and avoid empty lanes
- Warm-up:
- Athletes will be able to use the infield for warm-up throughout the duration of the event. Additionally, athletes may elect to leave Franklin Field for warm-up if they prefer.
- Starting Blocks:
- Penn's Gill Fusion starting blocks will be used for all sprint races. No outside blocks will be allowed. Blocks are not required.
- Timing & Results:
- Timing will be done by Lexicon Timing. Live results will be posted on the scoreboard in Franklin Field and online at lexicontiming.com.
- World Athletics Calendar:
- This event is on the World Athletics Calendar for those seeking qualification marks for national championship meets or qualification purposes to World Athletics events.
- All World Athletics protocols will be strictly enforced including shoe check.
- Spectators
- This is a non-ticketed event so all spectators are welcome to attend free of charge.
