Penn Relays Winter Showcase – January 30, 2027 

  

The Penn Relays is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Penn Relays Winter Showcase, at the Jane and David Ott Center for Track & Field on January 30, 2027. This high school event is designed for maximum team participation and will contest a series of running events.  

   

What's new in 2027: 

  

1. Boys will run in the morning and girls will run in the afternoon.  

2. We have increased the number of entries in each event to maximize total participation.  

3. Registration will be done through Athletic.net and the girls meet and the boys meet will be set up separately to ensure we can add as many teams as possible.  

4. We will accept as many entries as we can handle in each event rather than having an entry standard. See the targeted amount of athletes in each event below.  
      

Events Targeted Number of Athletes:  

Athletes will be accepted or rejected directly within Athletic.net with as much notice as possible 
 

Boys:  

• 60m – 150 entries 

• 60mH – 150 entries 

• 200m – 150 entries 

• 400m – 125 entries 

• 800m – 100 entries 

• Mile – 100 entries 

• 3000m – 75 entries  

Girls:  

• 60m – 150 entries 

• 60mH – 150 entries 

• 200m – 150 entries 

• 400m – 125 entries 

• 800m – 100 entries 

• Mile – 100 entries 

• 3000m – 75 entries 

Due to facility capacity restrictions, boy's and girl's teams will compete in separate sessions. Acceptance into an event will only allow that athlete access to the facility during the session in which they are competing. The facility will be cleared of athletes and spectators between sessions.      
   

Saturday, January 31st 

PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE 

Boys Session 

• 8:00am: Doors open; track open for warm-ups 

• 9:00am: 3000m – timed final – heats fastest to slowest   

• 9:40am: 60m Hurdles Prelim 

• 10:10am: 60m Prelim 

• 10:50am: 400m – timed final – heats fastest to slowest  

• 11:30am: 1 Mile – timed final – heats fastest to slowest   

• 12:00pm: 60mH Final  

• 12:05pm: 60m Final 

• 12:10pm: 800m – timed final – heats fastest to slowest  

• 12:50pm: 200m – timed final – heats fastest to slowest  

• 1:45pm: Facility closed and cleaned for afternoon session

The Penn Relays Winter Showcase is an NFHS sanctioned event in compliance with PIAA guidelines. Therefore, all high school athletes must be participating as part of their indoor track and field team for a NFHS member school. No unattached athletes or non-high school athletes will be allowed to compete.
