Registration:

*New in 2026: All registration for the Masters events will be done online at www.pennrelaysonline.com. The 2026 registration window will open the last week of February 2026 and have a firm deadline of Monday, April 6th at 5:00pm ET. No entries will be accepted past the deadline.

Registration for all relay teams and/or club members should be done by a club representative or relay team captain only. All individual athletes looking to compete in the 100m must register themselves for this race separately.

The fee to register for the Penn Relays is a registration fee and not a participation fee. All fees will be collected during the registration process and are non-refundable. However, all athletes/relay teams that are registered will be given competitor passes, whether they are selected or not, for the fields in the same manner it is done for high school and collegiate divisions.

Individual event: $30 per entry

Relay Team: $60 per entry

After all entries are collected, the Masters Selection Committee, headed up by Anthony Pugliese, will select the fields based on verified FAT marks that have taken place within the qualification window of 4/24/25 to 4/6/2026.

*Indoor marks that are achieved in the 60m or 200m will be considered but not given the same weight as 100m marks.

Registration process (will begin in late February 2026)

  1. Go to www.pennrelaysonline.com

  1. Click on the Masters 2026 button on the right hand side

  1. Follow the process to create an account to register as a club or individual

  • Registration for all relay teams and/or club members should be done by a club representative or relay team captain only. All individual athletes looking to compete in the 100m must register themselves for this race separately.

The accepted entries will be posted on www.pennrelaysonline.com on Wednesday, April 8th.

*Athletes and relay teams that do not make the field will be eligible to be named as alternates in case there are late scratches. Masters Chair, Anthony Pugliese, will reach out to all alternates well in advance to ensure confirmation.

Packet Pickup:

Packet pickup will take place at the following times:

  1. Wednesday, April 22nd – 5:00-7:00pm

  1. Thursday, April 23rd – 9:45am - 11:15am

Packet pickup will be done at a table manned by the Masters Committee in the main ticket office driveway located off 33rd Street (see map on page 3).

*New for 2026: To help expedite packet pick-up, packets will now be prepared for each club separately. A designated club representative or team captain will be responsible for picking up the packet for the entire team. For participants who are not affiliated with a club or are competing individually, you will still be able to pick up your packet individually.

Inside your packet will be a competitor pass (rectangular sticker with a barcode) and the bib for you and/or your team. You will not be allowed to enter Franklin Field without your competitor pass. All teams and individuals that went through the registration process will be given a competitor pass, regardless of being selected or not for the fields. All alternates will be made aware of their standing by Master Chair, Anthony Pugliese.

Avoid going to the Hecht Tennis Center! Only high school and college packets will be available for pick-up at that location.

Once you pick up your competitor pass and bib, you will be directed to enter Franklin Field in the same general location through the media entrance. After passing through security, once inside the gate, turn left into the north concourse of Franklin Field to the “Big East tunnel”.

Bib Assignment:

100m:

Your bib will correspond with your section and lane assignment, so there is no confusion. The first number (1-9) will correspond to the section you are in, and the second number (1-9) will correspond with your lane assignment.

4x100 & 4x400:

The bib for you and your team will be double lettered. The first letter (A-I) will determine your section, and the second letter (A-M) will determine your lane assignment.

All seeding and lane assignments will be completed by the Masters Committee.

Order of Events & Standards:

Women will go before men and older ages will go before younger ages to align with Masters events protocols. The Penn Relays is an exhibition event and does not follow the traditional 5-year age divisions. Age divisions will be combined where necessary to fill all the lanes.

Warm-Up:

Masters athletes will have access to the infield for warm-ups starting at 11:00am on Thursday morning. All athletes must stay in the designated warm-ups tunnels to avoid interfering with the HS 4x100m sections that will be running. Athletes will only be granted access to this space with the competitor pass found in their packet. Coaches, alternates, and others will not be allowed in this space.

To enter the warm-up space all athletes will have to enter through the Big East gate on the southeast corner of Franklin Field, by seating section EA/EB. YOU WILL NOT BE GRANTED ACCESS FROM ANY OTHER LOCATION! This is to ensure that the flow of the HS 4x100m is not interrupted in any way.

Clerking:

100m:

Clerking for all 100m heats will be done near the starting line (#5 on the map) and the athletes will be placed in their heat and lanes based on the bib numbers as described above.

4x100m & 4x400m:

All relay teams will be gathered in the infield warm-up area and given an announcement on when they are going to be taken to the paddock for final clerking. This will happen approximately 20 minutes prior to race time. Any team that is not in the paddock will be marked as a no-show and will not be allowed to compete. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION SO YOU DON’T MISS YOUR RACE! All teams must go through the paddock to compete. No team will be allowed to go straight to the exchange zones.

Blocks:

Blocks will not be available for any Masters events or relays. Please plan accordingly.

Awards:

See full awards breakdown here:

Penn Relays Awards

*Awards are given based on finish in each section/race and not based on age division.

Infield Access:

After the conclusion of the sections of the 4x400m you will need to gather your belongings and exit the infield ASAP. HS 4x400m sections will begin immediately, and we need all individuals out of the infield. Please exit the infield across the track at the entrance point by the “Big East tunnel”.
