An exciting event for fans to witness, as both Olympic Development fields will be performing next to each other at the same time on the infield in front of the Penn Relays Wall of Fame on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Cunningham headlines the event as a two-time Olympian for the US, taking sixth at The Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021 and 11th in her first Olympic trip in Rio. Currently ranked seventh in the world and eyes on Paris in the summer, she is the long-standing US national champion at the high jump since 2016. Over that span, she has won 14 national titles between indoor and outdoor. Besides her Olympic accolades, she added a World Indoor title in 2016 and a World Outdoor third-place finish in 2019.
On the men's side, Darius Carbin and Earnest Sears enter with the top personal-best times in the field, each representing the USA in a field of five countries. Carbin, a Georgia alum, graduated in 2022 as a four-time All-American in the high jump and two-time SEC champion. Sears, a 2022 USC grad where he still ranks atop the record book for indoor high jump and second in outdoor, was a Pac-12 champion several times in his career.
The 128th running of the Penn Relays is set for April 25-27 at Franklin Field. Don't miss out on the largest track and field event in the country, with over 15,000 athletes competing across three days ranging from high school, college, professional, and masters.
