A scenic, competitive run through Penn Park that will finish on the track of historic Franklin Field is set for Saturday morning. The Penn Relays and the local Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association welcome runners of all levels, as the event will feature a 5K, a one-mile Fun Run, and a virtual run for those that cannot participate in person.

What time does it all start?Â
Registration opens at 7 a.m., on Shoemaker Green in front of the Palestra (219 S. 33rd Street, Philadelphia, Pa., 19104). At that time, you will receive your bib, your tech t-shirt, and a special giveaway courtesy of Toyota for the first 300 participants. There will be bananas, bagels, and water available for registrants, as well as access to restrooms in the front concourse of the Palestra.

The Fun Run will begin in Franklin Field at 8 a.m., while the 5K takes off on Shoemaker Green at 8:30 a.m. The 5K will go through Penn Park, down River Fields Drive and conclude at the Penn Relays finish line inside Franklin Field. The course closes by 9:30 a.m.

A post-event party will take place on the infield of Franklin Field, featuring an awards ceremony, food, beverages, music, sponsor and vendor tents, giveaways, and more. The awards ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the post-event party will conclude at noon.

All NCAA and NFHS/local high school association rules around accepting prizes apply to current prospect age and collegiate student-athletes.
Virtual participants are not eligible for prizes, but you can win bragging rights!

Where do I submit my virtual 5K time?Â
Virtual participants can run their 5K any time the week of the in-person Penn Relays 5K and have until Sunday, October 17 by midnight to submit their times. Please submit your times to:

Is there a place to store my bags during my run?
We will have a "drop zone" tent available on the Franklin Field infield. We ask that you don't store valuables, and Penn is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

Will there be any vendors in attendance?
Carve 4 Cancer/Live Like Brent is partnering with Billy Murphy's Irish Saloon out of East Falls, Pa., to provide the food and beverage. On Running will be on site providing runners an opportunity to demo sneakers during their race. Grace Foods will also be in attendance with samples of coconut water.

Where is parking for the event?Â
Limited parking is available on Penn's campus at the following locations near Franklin Field
- Penn Park: located on lower Walnut Street
- Penn Museum Garage: located on Convention Avenue and South Street
Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and these locations accept hourly rates. Please note these garages and lots are credit card only. Visit the Penn Parking and Transportation Services

Are spectators allowed to come to the vent?Â
Of course! We encourage all fans to come and cheer on family and friends! You can watch the 5K start up on Shoemaker Green, then head into Franklin Field to watch the finish.

Health and Safety GuidelinesÂ
Campus visitors must
click here to fill out a PennOpen Pass Campus. Penn Community members should already be enrolled in
PennOpen Pass and fill it out daily. All runners and spectators must show their daily green pass to gain admission to the event. Please note, PennOpen Pass is valid ONLY for the day it is filled out. PennOpen Pass should be filled out on the day of the race. The University requests that visitors not come physically to campus if they feel ill, have been exposed to a case of COVID-19, or if they are not fully vaccinated. A valid green open pass is required to gain entry to the race. Face coverings are not required during the run.
