The 1965 Villanova 2-mile relay team was honored on the 50th anniversary of their win. The team of Jim Orr, Al Adams, Tom Sullivan, and Noel Carroll ran a Carnival record time of 7:26.1. Although the time was bettered just two years later, the combination of running at the longer distance of two miles (about 2.5 seconds longer than 3200 meters) and on the old cinder track made the value of this time much greater, the equivalent of a mark which would hae lasted as a meet record until 1982.
