Villanova ’71; New York A.C. ‘72

A major cog during an era of Villanova domination, Mason earned eight watches in three varsity years. He ran on three winning two-mile relays, including the 1969 team which set a Carnival record of 7:20.1, which lasted eight years. He also ran on three championship distance medleys, two of which barely missed the meet record, and a pair of four-mile relays.
