An outstanding long sprinter, Malone won five watches at the Relays. She anchored Carnival Records in the 1988 4x200m, and the 1990 4x400m. Her crowning achievement came in a losing effort as a senior, when she ran a still-standing split record of 49.5 in the 4x400m.
